Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at myinkling.ai and the Inkling platform at app.myinkling.ai (together, the "Services"), operated by GGTW Education Limited, trading as Inkling, registered in England and Wales under company number 16609200, with registered address at Clifton College, 32 College Road, Bristol, UK, BS8 3JH ("we", "our" or "us").
By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
1. Who we are
Inkling is an AI-powered tutoring platform operated by GGTW Education Limited, trading as Inkling.
Our platform is available at https://app.myinkling.ai and is provided to schools, teachers, students, and parents (collectively "users").
2. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using Inkling, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are under 13, your parent or guardian must also agree on your behalf.
If you are a school or teacher accessing Inkling on behalf of students, you confirm you have the authority to agree to these Terms and are responsible for ensuring students use the platform in accordance with them.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Inkling.
3. What Inkling is (and isn't)
Inkling provides AI-assisted tutoring to support students' learning. It is designed to complement, not replace, qualified teachers and school-based education.
Inkling generates responses using artificial intelligence. While we aim to provide high-quality educational support, outputs may not always be accurate or complete. You should not rely on responses as a sole source of truth and should use your own judgement when applying them.
Inkling is not:
A qualified human tutor or teacher
A mental health or counselling service
A substitute for professional medical, legal, or other expert advice
An examination board or official assessment body
If a student is in distress or at risk, the appropriate route is always to speak to a trusted adult, teacher, or contact the relevant emergency services.
4. Eligibility and accounts
Age: Inkling is intended for students aged 13 and over. Students under 13 may only use Inkling where a school has agreed to these Terms on their behalf and has obtained any necessary parental consent.
Account accuracy: You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
Account security: You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must not share your account or allow unauthorised access.
One account per person: Each account must represent a single individual. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions is not permitted.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Inkling only for its intended educational purpose. You must not:
Use Inkling to generate content that is harmful, offensive, discriminatory, or illegal
Attempt to manipulate, bypass, or test safeguards to produce inappropriate or unsafe outputs
Use Inkling in a way that could lead to harmful real-world actions
Share, reproduce, or sell outputs from Inkling for commercial purposes without our written permission
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying systems or models
Use automated systems (including bots or scripts) to access or use the platform
Use Inkling to cheat in assessments, exams, or coursework in breach of school policies
Impersonate another person or organisation
Attempt to access another user’s account or data
Introduce malicious software or interfere with the platform
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Schools and teachers
Where Inkling is accessed through a school or organisation:
The school is the data controller for student data and is responsible for obtaining any required parental consents
Teachers may configure focus areas and view progress summaries
The school is responsible for communicating these Terms and our Privacy Policy to students and parents
Users must also comply with any applicable school policies when using Inkling
7. Your content
You retain ownership of anything you input into Inkling.
By using Inkling, you grant us a limited licence to process your inputs solely to provide the service, such as generating responses or summaries.
We do not use your tutoring conversations to train general-purpose AI models. We may use aggregated or anonymised data to improve the performance, safety, and reliability of the service.
8. Our content and intellectual property
All software, design, branding, and content provided through Inkling is owned by GGTW Limited or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.
AI-generated responses are provided for personal educational use only.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Inkling available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may:
Carry out maintenance that affects availability
Update or change features
Discontinue the service with reasonable notice
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
10. Fees and payment
Access to Inkling may be provided on a paid basis, either directly by you, by a parent or guardian, or through a school or other organisation.
Where fees apply:
Pricing and billing arrangements may vary depending on how access is provided
Payments may be processed by us or by third-party providers
Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable
We may update pricing from time to time with reasonable notice
If your access is provided by a school or organisation, they are responsible for any payments due under their agreement with us.
11. Third-party services
Inkling may integrate with or rely on third-party services (such as hosting, analytics, authentication, or AI providers). We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or practices of these third-party services.
12. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect and use your personal data.

13. Your responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for your use of Inkling and for ensuring it complies with these Terms, applicable laws, and any school policies.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless GGTW Limited from any claims, damages, or losses arising from your misuse of the service or breach of these Terms.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law:
Inkling is provided "as is". We make no warranties that outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses
We are not responsible for any loss of data, loss of academic outcomes, or decisions made based on use of the platform, including any reliance on AI-generated outputs
Our total liability in any 12-month period will not exceed the fees paid by you (or on your behalf), or £100, whichever is greater
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything that cannot be excluded under English law.
15. Safeguarding
Inkling includes automated monitoring to detect potential safeguarding concerns. Where appropriate, relevant information may be shared with a school’s designated safeguarding lead.
This is a safety feature and not a substitute for human judgement. Schools remain responsible for safeguarding obligations.
16. Termination
You may stop using Inkling and request account deletion at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, are required to do so by law, or for operational reasons, including where we discontinue or change the service, with reasonable notice where possible.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
